Waist circumference: not tight, not loose; measure how you would want the trousers to feel.
Hip circumference: around the widest part of your hips, on the loose side. 2-3 fingers should fit at a right angle between the tape and the body.
Hem circumference: Standard is about 18-19 in / 46-48 cm.
Length: from where you would like the waist to sit down to the bottom of the hem.

Have your tango shoes on.
